Melt Bar & Grilled
14718 Detroit Ave - Lakewood, Ohio

Must love cheeze, bread & beer.
Gourment grilled cheeze, huge beer selection.

Food - 4 stars
Price - $$$
Beer selection - 5 Stars
Entertainment - None

Great food, "The lake Erie Monster" was fantastic. Could be the largest Walleye sandwhich anywhere.
Covered with melted american cheese, side of sweet slaw, carnival cut and seasoned french fries, and
a jalapeno tarter sauce. It was unbelieveable. Price was about $12 and even I could only eat half of it.

The beer selection was huge. We had a Rouge Dead Guy from the tap and a Blithoring Idiot barley wine.
There had to be at least 101 selections.

Be prepared for a little bit of a wait.
I've heard this place is packed from open to close. We got lucky and kept our eye on the
bar, two ladies were leaving and offered us their seats. They serve exactly the same menu at the bar
so we ate there.

Hi Big D!
The Melt is opening a second location right here in Cleveland Hts. at the corner of Cedar and S. Taylor. Not sure which location will be more convenient for you Lake County Folk (neither) but we're glad to have it in the neighborhood!
May give you an excuse to drive in and see us, other than the Mongolian BBQ.
Love, Beans (will let you know when they're open as I just heard the news but it's official) Also The Melt is privately owned, not a franchise

I to the family to the Mentor restaurant a few weeks back. It's mandatory that you have to like cheese, bread, and beer as already said.

The food seemed good as the place was packed and everyone was eating. We may not return though due to lactose intollerance and a little too much grease in the cooking. I've been told other locations were not greasy so this migh have just been our choices.
